HORIZON HIGH SCHOOL
STUDENT GOVERNMENT
WISH WEEK 2020
This year, Horizon joined numerous other high schools throughout the state and nation in their mission to spread inclusion and what this means for students with intellectual disabilities. We became recognized as a Unified School through Special Olympics, and have partnered with them this year for our 2020 Wish Week.

We have decided to focus uniquely on schools within the Adams12 boundaries, and we have raised money to provide some adaptive PE equipment or recess equipment for our feeder schools that will be beneficial to students with special needs. We have been working with Special Olympics to help compile a list of materials that may be useful and beneficial to this population.
OUR FUNDRAISERS
HAT DAY
Students purchased a wristband in order to wear a hat on Wednesday.
DOLLAR DRIVE
During 4th hour on Thursday, Student Government sent a bag to each classroom to collect spare change.
UNIFIED TSHIRTS
We sold Special Olympics t-shirts for students to wear on Friday during the assembly to promote inclusion.
MIRACLE MINUTE
We partnered with DECA to raise money during our assembly. We have one minute to collect as much cash from our audience as possible!
PAY-FOR-IT
This year, we used pay-for-it.net to provide another way for families to donate money to our cause.
